I am a Web producer and jr. level front-end developer looking to branch out into UI/UX. The three words that best describe me are competent, creative and analytical; I take pride in my work and I understand that revision is as important to the creative process as generating new ideas. I never tire of learning new things.
Experience
I have six years of experience working in media, three of which have been dedicated to Web and social. I can hand code standards-compliant HTML/CSS. I'm expanding my skillset to include HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery (ex. this website). I've worked for Herbalife, a global company with 5,000+ employees, as well as a small startup with fewer than 20 employees.
Interests
I'm fascinated with UI/UX because its rooted in the study of the human brain - how we perceive and comprehend through electrical impulses. I believe that successful UI/UX occurs at the intersection of beauty and functionality, learning and "common sense." There's so much to discover and that curiosity is what drives me.
